Terms of Service
Draft - not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This is a working template that covers the points specific to how Entry Point actually operates. Before you take payment from a customer, have an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction review it, particularly the sections on financial content, liability and refunds. Trading-adjacent software attracts scrutiny that a generic SaaS template does not anticipate.
1. What Entry Point is
Entry Point is publishing and record-keeping software for Discord communities. It formats trade information that you choose to enter, posts it to channels you designate, and keeps a record of what you posted so it can be displayed back to you and your members.
Entry Point is not a broker, dealer, investment adviser, or financial institution. It places no orders, connects to no brokerage or exchange, holds no customer funds, and makes no recommendation to buy or sell any security, contract or asset. Every figure it displays originates from data you entered.
2. Your content and your responsibility
You own everything you post through Entry Point, and you are solely responsible for it. That includes responsibility for:
- Whether your posts constitute investment advice under the law of your jurisdiction, and whether you hold any registration required to give it.
- Disclosures required of you, including any compensation, position, or conflict of interest relating to what you post.
- The accuracy of the prices, fills and outcomes you enter. Entry Point does not verify them against any market data source.
- Any claims you make to your members about past or expected performance.
3. Accounts and analyst seats
An analyst seat is one Discord account permitted to post trade calls. Members, moderators and administrators who only read cost nothing and are unlimited on every plan. You are responsible for who you grant a seat to and for what they post with it.
4. Plans, trials and billing
The free trial is seven days and requires no payment method. We do not charge a card we did not take. At the end of the trial, unpaid workspaces drop to the Starter feature set rather than being locked or deleted.
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually. Plan changes are prorated to the day. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Your data
You can export your complete position history at any time on Pro and above. Cards already posted to Discord are your messages in your server and are unaffected by anything that happens to your Entry Point account. If you cancel, your history remains exportable for 30 days before deletion. See the Privacy Policy for what we store.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Entry Point to:
- Post trade information you know or suspect to be fabricated or misrepresented.
- Manipulate a market, including coordinated promotion of a position you intend to exit into the resulting volume.
- Operate a service that requires registration you do not hold.
- Impersonate another trader, firm, or publication.
We may suspend an account for violations of this section. Where the violation risks harm to your members or to third parties, we may do so without prior notice.
7. Availability
Entry Point depends on Discord's platform and on cloud infrastructure we do not control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for a missed post or a delayed close arising from an outage in either. Do not rely on Entry Point as the only record of a position.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Entry Point is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost members, or reputational harm, whether yours or your members'.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to the account owner at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
